Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Mostly I have surfed across South America, Asia and Europe, but me and my partner hosted some lovely people in our apartment in New Zealand.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
New Zealand 2013: Hosting from our little flat in the centre of Wellington :)
Mexico 2012: Cancun with some lovely Mexicans! warm, amazing people - and the best food we have ever had!
Chile 2012: Travelling over from Argentina, we made our way north up the pan-american. On this journey we met a life friend through CS. Amazing people.
Argentina 2011: The start of our mammoth trip all the way up to LA. Noelia and Fran showed us immense kindness for 4 days in Buenos Aires, from there we surfed with 4 other awesome hosts.
Serbia 2011: During a 10week expedition kayaking down the River Danube we stayed with some lovely people in Serbia
Switzerland 2010: Stayed with some amazing guys in Geneva before heading off into the Alps climbing for 3 weeks in August
Japan 2009: Surfing in Tokyo with Brian and Eunice for 3 days in August
Korea 2009: Couch surfing throughout the country for 2 weeks from Busan to Seoul in September
China 2009: Surfing in Hong Kong for 3 days in October
Europe 2007: Last easter traveled from Sheffield, UK to Tallinn, Estonia, thats 3000km on the grand total of £6.50 :) thanks to the kind people who helped me along the way!
It turns out everyone is so friendly, not as the media like to portray.
Interests
Backpacking, Trekking - Freedom to move wherever you feel, with all you need on your back and the world at your feet.
I'm a keen surfer, touring kayaker, and rower too. Its great to be using the natural power of the water.
Any crazy suggestions put my way will normally be answered with a definite YES!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last summer I kayaked 3000km along the River Danube in Europe, Germany to the back sea. I have trekked 1100km across the alps too! I loved learning to dive on the Great Barrier Reef
