My husband, Alex, and I have enjoyed traveling and seeing many different states and countries over those years; either visiting family and friends, sight seeing, or exploring the surrounding area we currently live in. We have had the pleasure of living in several states including Arizona, Florida, Texas and Colorado; and have enjoyed experiencing the different landscapes and sub-cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Our good friends introduced it to Alex and I, and have enjoyed meeting and hanging out with many of their surfers. Getting to hear stories about where they come from, were they have traveled, their culture and views, and share our advice and travel experiences has been really exciting. We have had almost exclusively good experiences both surfing and co-hosting surfers. We have loved getting to know people around the world and by the end of the night have great new friends, and an insight into their life and culture a tourist trap just can't teach!

Interests

We (obviously) love to travel. Going to new places and trying new adventures.
We regularly enjoy boating, water skiing/boarding, hiking, motorcycle riding, roller coaster riding, and skydiving. But we also love keeping it low key, playing card games or board games with friends, chilling either at a local hangout or around the living room enjoying craft beers and good food.

Music, Movies, and Books

We love all sorts of music, our tastes are extremely wide ranging; but to give you a taste of what we enjoy, we have seen live in concert: Godsmack, Shinedown, Rob Zombie, Sugar Land, Big & Rich, Charley Daniels, Willy Nelson, Papa Roach, P.O.D., Puddle of Mudd, Kenny Chesney, and Miranda Lambert.
We are probably just as varied on our movie tastes, and are big fans of Netflix. But all-in-all, we are definitely more "movie people" then "book worms". Neither of us are really into reading for pleasure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

....well, I think a lot of things we have done were amazing. But off the top of my head we have Skydived a couple of times now, and during one of those jumps is when we got engaged.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can offer stories, and advise on getting around the local area, best places to hang/ get a bite to eat. We almost always are up for going out and grabbing a beer or glass of wine with friends, or having people over for games or good food. Our group of friends love to welcome new couch surfers into town, and join in the experience, so all of their travel experience and stories can give you a wider perspective then just the two of us.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We love getting to know what local people are really into, and what they are like; whether that's going out to a local hangout spot, or running out to the market and making a meal at home...We have really enjoyed cooking for/with our hosts, both eating their local favorites, or creating one of our staple foods for them to try for the first time.
Plus we can share some funny stories about people in Texas and the things we have encountered here...
