About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to see the sunshine behind grey skies..
ABOUT ME
A nomad by nature. A traveller in spirit. A dreamer. An idealist. A leader. A coffee junkie. A sensation seeker. A sensual soul. A wonderer. A child refusing to grow up, but responsible in all my actions. Curious in all my endavours. Craving knowledge, intoxicated by sensation, by music, by dancing, by people, by culture, by art.. by LIFE :)
PHILOSOPHY
Happiness is a path, not a destination
It'll all be fine in the end
because if its not fine
its not the end.
This too shall pass.
All has its time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfing, hosting.. spreading the word :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I experienced much love and kindness. I was picked up at the airport in Reno and helped in my preparations for burning man - so much that it was surreal. I stayed in a two bed room apartment with 19 other people in the heart of Athens - and loved every second of it. I met very cool and wonderful people.. and I'd love to have you in my home if you belong to that kind :)
Interests
Travel (surprised?), Education, Life and all its forms of celebration. Moving my body to a beat or simply adjusting my feet. Circling my hula hoop and reconnecting people with childhood joys.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: am probably the most movie illiterate person you'll ever come upon.. my favourites: Magnolia, Pretty Dirty Things, Afterlife
Music: Electronic (Trance, House, Chillout/Ambient)
Books: Inspirational (books by psychologists, psychiatrists, philosophers..)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Burning Man 2011, 2010, 2009 & 2006 (the first included a road trip across the USA in a converted school bus -yeah!)
NYC Marathon 2005
Word Tour 2002: India, Australia, New Zealand, Japan
Travelled to Russia, Hungary, Istanbul, Italy, Austria, Spain, Paris, Morrokko, Kenia, Argentinia, Uruguay, Brasil, Scotland, England, Amsterdam, parts of Germany, Ibiza
Bungee jumped, sky dived, paraglided, hiked a glacier...
.. and was allowed to help people :) Taking myself back, be it voluteer work (hotline work) or within my medical path as a doctor, is one of the most profound and enriching experiences life has given to me... next to seeing a child be born under water.. and a person dying.. life in full circle.. you're not here forever, treasure the moments, enjoy the gift you were given. Even if life isn't always easy (I'm a single mother, work nearly full time and look after my disabled parents), I try to grow with every experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I used to put something here and then all my couchsurfing requests included that - and I figured: you know what, I'm not sure I'll have time.
I inherited a nasty bug called the "busy gene".
Its bad, real bad - I'm always busy. I'm crazy like that. I don't get bored in life. If you get bored easily, then its likely that we'll find it hard to get on. I always wanted to become the coolest granny ever - and granny con (an event where we all dressed up as grannys) tought be how cool being elderly could be.. and I believe I'll have much to teach about life.. and next to being my bubbly me, I usually do well in listening. But its unlikely that I'll have much time to teach any skill set - aside from broadening your mind - if its not already totally wide open ;)
