ABOUT ME
I'm a normal girl, grew up in Sydney but spent the last 4 years away from my home. Finished a degree in Design/Psychology in Calgary, Canada because I love snowsports then travelled all over Europe where I worked as a Tour Manager for a travel company. I just came back to Australia and don't have a job for a month so I want to explore my own home and help other travellers.
I loveeee snowboarding, skiing, everything about the mountains, hiking, bonsai, meditation, chocolate milkshakes, roadtrips and the ocean. I like surfing, diving, being around water, taking photos or enjoying nature. I loveeeee to have a giggle and appreciate the smallest things in life. Europe has also taught me to love picnics in the park, riding my bike and open air raves/festivals.
PHILOSOPHY
FAITH IN THE FUTURE.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love hosting people, being a tour guide is my job and my passion, but i love staying with people to see how they live, to learn and experience their culture. We don't have many traditions in Australia so its so special for me to learn about other peoples. Its not about the bed...i could get that in a hostel.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My most amazing time was staying with amazing boys in a small town in Canada. I was coming to the end of a 3 week long solo roadtrip across the USA/Canada and it was my first time using CS. They welcomed me with a big feast as they had all their parents around the same night...although it was a little hard for the mothers to believe that we had never met until this second, they accepted and warmly welcomed me. A 2 day stay turned into a week becuase I couldn't bring myself to leave these amazing friends. I got to go on a houseboat, swimming in the lake, learnt deep water solo climbing, we had a BBQ, we cooked, we talked, we smoked, we paddle boarded, we stared at the mountains and the sky, we went to a hotspring rave in the middle of the mountains and I even ended up helping working picking fruit on one family's farm and taking produce to market the next day!!! Meeting Casey, Dan & Tanner changed my life....they asked nothing of me but I could never thank them enough and I have even taken other friends back to their pad since.
this is what couchsurfing is about!
