ABOUT ME

I'm a native Californian currently living in Rhode Island. My husband's work has brought us to the east coast and as much as I love home, I have loved the experience of starting anew in a completely different part of the country. Raised on insane family road trips, I like to continue to explore all the country has to offer and often do so by combining my travels in conjunction with popular running events. There's no better way to see a new place than on foot for me. In general I'm just pretty easy going, open to new experiences, and enjoy a good conversation with old and new friends alike.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is just to ride the wave and enjoy all that life has to offer, expected and unexpected, something positive can come from anything.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to couchsurfing but it came recommended to me from a friend. I've used AirBNB before with good luck and thought I would give this a go because of my good experiences staying with hosts through that site.

Interessi

Running, traveling, swimming, a variety of outdoor activities really, current events, comedy, and just whatever happens to spark my interest.

Musica, film e libri

I like pretty much all music except heavy metal. Movies I tend to like dramas and comedies, not such a big horror fan, and I do love a lot of older classics as well. I tend to read sociological, political and historical non-fictions or comedic memoirs.

Running a marathon has shown me the best of humanity because I have witnessed many acts of amazing kindness and comradery amongst strangers.

I think I can share a lot about my experiences of traveling within the U.S. and living in different regions of the country. I would like to learn about experiences from other countries as I would very much like to travel more internationally.
