ABOUT ME

I'm an audiovisual engineer for a university here in DC, meaning I design, build, and think of new ways to incorporate technology into the classroom. You can't really pin down my interests into one solid thing: I'm a programmer, gaming geek, outdoors enthusiast, I love participating in airsoft games. I go to classical music concerts and love opera, but you'll mostly find me rocking out to 80's power ballads while working. Meeting new people and making friends is really important to me, I love eating food and learning about your country! I have friends from all over the world, from China, Japan, Vietnam, Bulgaria, and Syria. I always want to meet more people! I'm currently teaching myself classical guitar and a few languages.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is that if you are good to the people in your life, you will reap the returns of that 1000 times. Meeting new people, and learning about their cultures and world is the most important thing to me. I am adventurous and love to visit new places and learn new things. I do things that seem impossible. I enjoy the challenge. I don't like to fail, but if you always give up when something seems difficult, you'll never know what you are capable of.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting new people and I really would like to host travelers. I would also like to travel some day(I am currently saving up money for some nice trips) so I'd like to build a contact network of friends all over the world!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had the opportunity to surf anywhere yet, but I've hosted a few people and I really love hosting! Plus it gives me an excuse to keep my house clean, you never know when you're going to have last minute guests!

Interessen

I am interested in so many things it's hard to list them all, or even to know where to begin. I'm interested in people, different cultures (which is why I'm here in this project) and FOOD! I love food, I love all types of food. Sometimes it doesn't love me back, but in general I'll try anything once! I'm not a picky eater, but I'd love to try to sample your country's native food. Even if you're from the US like me, I'm always on the hunt for new recipes. In order for me to consider your request you should include what recipe you are providing. You don't have to cook it, just provide the directions! I also like videogames (mostly realistic flight simulators and RPGs) and play classical guitar.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I like lots of things, and you won't find me reading just one type of book. Science fiction appeals to me a lot, but I've been known to read everything from comic books to technical computer books.

I've met some amazing people in my life, and I want to meet more of them! I have some amazing stories about people that I could tell you, but you wouldn't believe them!

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I am studying Arabic and Bulgarian, and I want to travel to places where these languages are spoken some time in the future. I know lots of things about computers, mostly. I also have a degree in physics, and I'm an engineer by trade, so I can teach lots of stuff about that.
