About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To spread the Collette germ worldwide and expose myself to the epidemics of others.

ABOUT ME

There's not a whole lot to know about me aside from my love of wine, ice cream, and crooked humor.

PHILOSOPHY

Nobody in the world is wrong, right, good, or evil - we are just all people with the responsibility to uphold our part of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently swamped with my work trying to get into character design, but I'm totally down to meet people for a coffee and a chat about their travels. My apartment is too small and have no couch to speak of just yet, but I can meet somewhere else.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've only had the chance to meet with a few other CSers, but they've all been such amazing people! One of the most enlightening experiences in my life has been my stay at the international dorms in Kyoto, Japan, which really inspired me to open my mind and arms to people all around the world. There are so many beautiful and creative minds out there - I don't want to miss any of them!

Interests

I have broad interests, from baking bread to writing and painting to drinking wine and watching television like a lazy bum. Of course I'm also interested in world travel and meeting interesting people. ;-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every day

Teach, Learn, Share

During my first trip to Japan, I became so lost one night on the subway station. The maps were impossible to read and my friend and I had gotten onto the wrong train more times than I have fingers to count. At the time I hardly spoke any Japanese and was too shy to blunder the grammar to ask for directions.
It was getting really late and most of the trains had stopped running when it was just me, my friend, our map, and an old lady in the station. The woman shyly came over and gave us directions in very broken English. She saved us spending a night on the streets.
People are going to make mistakes communicating across languages and cultures, but if you never try, you'll only become more lost.
(cheesy, huh?)
