I live and work in San Francisco, mostly doing startup Ops and Finance. I've lived in Mainland China and Hong Kong for about 3 years for a mix of work, study, and travel. I am interested in business as a career, but my life's goal is to open a school. Striving to be "Gentleman and a Scholar".

Energy systems, economics, education, entrepreneurship, finance, Chinese politics, cities. Delicious food & refreshing drinks. I love dancing, even though I'm not very good. I listen to old records and still write letters by hand. I speak enough Chinese to get by, but can read & listen at a higher level.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a good mix of fiction and non-fiction, and I like to experiment with different eras and subjects. Same with music--I can get into pretty much anything, especially I'm with someone who truly loves it. Used to be a much bigger cinophile, but am still down for a movie now and again.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In April 2016, I hosted a 1,200 person fundraiser for education non profits in the Bay Area.

Teach, Learn, Share

I take great pride and enjoyment from both writing and editing--fiction, essays, whatever. I know a fair bit about how energy markets work, and have good background in economics and finance. Am naturally drawn towards the things I least understand.
