ABOUT ME

I’m a Petroleum Engineer by Profession, I graduated in my hometown back in 2003, started working for a major international company and since then I have had the opportunity to live in several different places and travel around the world. I have lived in crazy overpopulated metropolis such as Caracas, in beautiful beach locations in Venezuela like Puerto La Cruz, also experienced life in Europe when I went to Oxford, UK for work training and finally lovely Canada, my new home.

Aside from my passion for technology and engineering, I am a very energetic person who likes to train or do any kind of sports or outdoor activities almost everyday. I used to play football (or soccer) all my life since I was a little kid, but when I started going to college I suffered from a few quite nasty knee injuries. Luckily I found the most amazing doctors and they helped me recover to a 100%. However, I prefer to avoid playing football these days and I do much more strength training at the gym, mountain biking, hiking and snowboarding.

I am a person who is overall very happy about life. I enjoy meeting new people and I am always up for having a fun time, making new plans, going on travels and hopefully creating some long lasting memories. I’m not the most talkative person in the world, is just not my nature, I also get annoyed sometimes by people that is too loud and talkative. I love putting a sense of humor to everything, and joking and laughing about those random things that happen in our day to day life.

I am totally new to the CS community. So I hope I can soon start writing about all the cool people i have met and hosted in my calgary couch and some epic travels and meetings with fellow couch surfers :o)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I love Adam Sandler movies, any kind of totally unconventional movies such as "Friday" from Ice Cube, Trainspotting and things like that, movies about extreme sports such as Endless Summer and Lords of Dogtown, and Vintage movies like "Rebel Without a Cause" with James Dean. Music documentaries such as "Dub Echoes" and "It can get Loud", oh I love those! And I can watch a chick flip with my girlfriend but only for her! hehe
