ABOUT ME

Hello, My name is Derek Wilson. I am 26 years old. I am engaged to the greatest girl in the world. Who gave me my son on Dec. 2nd 2007. They are the love of my life. I am an avid rock climber, mountaineer, hiker, biker etc. If it can be done outdoors, I probably do it or want to. My world revolves around my son right now. We are planning our wedding right now. WOW! Lots to do. I just want to get to the honeymoon. We are spending a few weeks backpacking in Europe. London, Paris and Rome will be the cities we will be visiting this trip. We are looking for someone to possibly host us in each of those cities. We look forward to hosting people in our little slice of Idaho, and look more forward to being hosted acorss the world.

PHILOSOPHY

"If your not living on the edge, your taking up to much room" I have always lived to the fullest. I have had close friends lose their life to early and I vowed to live it up. I enjoy everything moment. Especially now that I have a son to enjoy it all with. There is to much hatred in this world. I have spent years looking inside myslef to make me a better person. If we all could do that, there would be a huge difference.

I just came across this site from an article in our local alternative paper. I am a traveler, not a tourist. I have already told a few of my friends about this site. It is an amazing thing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had the pleasure of hosting two very great surfers. They had made this an even greater experience that I could have thought. I am already planning a trip to Hong Kong to surf with Sherman. We are spreading the good word about Couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am on a Maroon 5 trip. I love all types of music. Anything that can get my foot to move, my body usally follows. Seven Years in Tibet and the Shawshank Redemption are my favorite movies. Any book about mountain climbing and traveling or buddhism.
