Overview
About Me
I inherited the travel bug and love all kinds of adventures. I'm a language fanatic, an amateur photographer, and I love cooking, for starters. I also love a good beer and am a sucker for cute dogs (or any dogs, really).
I grew up in New York State and have lived in St Louis on and off for the last 8 years, with some globe trotting mixed in. My job is a pretty accurate picture of my life; I've been organizing with low wage workers for the past four years because I believe every one deserves to be treated with dignity and respect and to earn a living wage. When I'm not organizing, I can be found in my kitchen trying out new recipes, hanging out with the dog, or -- if it's warm enough-- curled up under a tree somewhere reading a book. I'm a big fan of the outdoors and exploring new cities and love meeting interesting people!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
If you are looking for some one to grab a cup of coffee with in St Louis, MO let me know! My room mate has cats, but if you're not allergic and need a place to stay I just have to check with her first. I have gone to different CS events in Buenos Aires and a couple of events in STL and would love to do more couch surfing events and host in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: A Man Called Ove, The Nest, Blindnesss, House of the Spirits, Anything by David Sedaris, 1984.
Music: I'm pretty open to different kinds of music-- bluegrass, indie rock, reggaeton, salsa, folk music....
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One experience that sticks out is being fortunate enough to spend time with a family in rural Argentina . They are fighting for land reform, against big agriculture business, and for the basic right to stay on their land as part of the Movimiento Campesino de Santiago del Estero. The family was so incredibly kind and generous and had the patience to teach me how to make home made tortillas and empanadas.
What I Can Share with Hosts
