CURRENT MISSION
To hear as many stories from as many people as possible
ABOUT ME
I've lived in New York City since 2012 and am currently in graduate school. In undergraduate college, I studied in Copenhagen, Denmark and had an extraordinary time while traveling to a dozen countries. After I graduated undergraduate college, I spent a month couchsurfing in Amsterdam which was one of the best times of life, so I hope to give back to the couchsurfing community!
I'm an extremely active person which is what makes living in NYC so great. I like adventure, ranging from hiking/biking to music/dancing. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories, which is why I love Couchsurfing. For surfing, I love being able to interact with locals since I usually travel solo. For hosting, it makes me feel like I am traveling the world even when I can't travel the world!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My favorite part of every traveling experience I've ever had is being able to meet the people that live there. I think that's the best way to absorb a culture and can create lasting relationships. I've hosted several people in NYC so far.
That being said, since I live in NYC, I literally get dozens of requests a day from surfers, so I have decided to only accept requests from those who have hosted before or are highly involved in the couchsurfing community. So don't be offended if I decline- just get involved in the couchsurfing community before your trip!
