ABOUT ME

I grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota but currently reside in Minneapolis (big difference, to us). I've been moving about once a year since high school, until about 2 years ago when I found myself back in Minnesota. The next plan is to move out to Seattle in a few months. I was also lucky enough to study abroad in Quito, Ecuador and Bilbao, Spain for a semester each.

Right now I am traveling around Chile with my lil 19-yr-old brother for two months.

One of my favorite things to do is talk to new people and hear about their experiences and how they see the world. I would much prefer to spend a few months in a smaller number of places than travel to many places for only a day or two each. For this reason I absolutely love couch surfing - when I don't have time to really get to know a city, there's someone there to teach me about it. Hostels are fun as well, but whenever possible I love to spend time with local residents.

I like to play outside and go camping, canoeing, hiking, etc. I'm game to try just about anything. I love to explore new places, by myself or with others, on foot and on public transportation. I'm independent and enjoy travelling on my own, both because I don't mind being alone and because it's so easy to meet people when you're travelling solo.

I want to see the world. All of it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I try to go to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in northern Minnesota every summer. Each time I go, I am so amazed by the stars. Some nights we get in a canoe and push off into the middle of the lake so we can get an almost 180-degree view of the night sky. I can't describe what it's like, but it's my favorite part of every summer.
