Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION : cultivating connection and re-acquainting myself with my homeland of Minnesota
ABOUT ME : I laugh easily, listen carefully, and sing loudly. I'll probably ask you if you'd like to sing too.
PHILOSOPHY : Compassion. Awareness. There is something to be learned from every experience and every moment. Find joy in the process.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My couchsurfing experience started in Syria and I met some great couchsurfers while living in Jordan. I couchsurfed in Olympia, WA while looking for a home in 2013, and again while traveling through Canada in 2017. I also heavily relied on couchsurfing's two-wheeled sister, WarmShowers, while bicycling from the WA coast to the Mississippi river. The hospitality of total strangers never ceases to blow me away, and restore my faith in humanity.

I'm fascinated by post-apocalyptic dystopian fiction--including the predictable, trope-filled young adult variety. Also a huge Game of Thrones nerd.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wet hiking through Wadi Mujib in Jordan. Watching the sun rise over Ryan Mountain in Joshua Tree. Helping to birth new lambs with my mom in Scotland. Scuba diving in the Caribbean.

Three jokes, three memorized poems, and three riddles. A song or two, a lesson in worm anatomy, tree identification or personality typology...I can also teach you an easy way to remember the English alphabet backwards
