ABOUT ME

We are Cecilia from Rosario, Argentina and Jonathan from Belgium (but he has been living in Dunedin, NZ for the last 18 years) We met in 2010 and since then (and in between trips) we have been living between New Zealand & Argentina.
We enjoy travelling and learning from other cultures as well as sharing with others travel experiences and our ways of life: history, customs, music, food (Jon can make the best creppes in the world),etc.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've only just begun our adventure and so far we've had a great time. Once that we are back home we'll be happy to house travelers and to show the best our city has to offer as well as giving them tips for travelling around the country.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We had our first few experiences with couchsurfing over the last month and it couldn't have gone any better. Exactly what we hoped and more. We got to meet some awesome people and got to know a side of their city we probably wouldn't have had to chance to discover on our own.

To explore different cultures, discover places, meet new people, make friends around the world, share experiences.

FOOD!: from everywhere: Brussels Waffles, Italian gelatto, blueberries, chocolate in all the possible ways: dark, milk, white, and the list will never end:Indian curries, sushi,kebbabs,dumplings, tapas, cheese,empanadas, gnocchi, etc.

Outdoors life: tracking, kayaking,surfing, body-boarding, rock-climbing,diving, etc.

Animals from a squirrel to an elephant, any kind any size. LOVE THEM ALL!

Art, architecture, Dali, Gaudi, mosaics, vitraux.

T.V.: It's always sunny in Philadelphia, Flight of the Conchords, Peep show, The Sipmsons, superheroes cartoons.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Movies: almost any kind, specially if it's shown in a big screen and comes with a big bowl of popcorn. We highly recommend "The secret of her eyes", Argentine movie that won an Oscar.
Music: Argentine National Rock (Sui Generi, Ciro y los persas, entre otros), a lot of French music (Jacques Brel, Édith Piaf, Manu Chao, Zaz, etc), jazz and more.
Books: historical-biographies, short stories like "Cuentos cortos con grandes historias" de Borges.
