ABOUT ME

We're both passionate educators who love what we do. We love enjoying friends and family. And food! We're curious and like to meet, eat, smell and explore when we travel. We've been together for 10 years and running!
Los dos somos docentes y nos apasiona lo que hacemos. Disfrutamos mucho de estar con nuestros amigos y nuestras familias. ¿¿Y nos gusta mucho la comida!! Somos curiosos y nos gusta conocer gente, probar comidas nuevas y explorar todo lo posible cuando viajamos. Estamos juntos hace 10 años.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We joined CS 6 years ago and had wonderful experiences in Spain, Portugal and Australia. We had the chance to host just once in Buenos Aires and we really enjoyed it. However, our daily schedules make it very difficult for us to try to host.
Nos unimos a couchsurfing hace 6 años y hemos tenido experiencias excelentes en España, Portugal y Australia. Pudimos recibir a un couchsurfer sólo una vez en Buenos Aires y nos encantó! Pero por cuestiones de horarios y espacio nos es muy difícil!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We surfed at Fernando's house in Porto and went to a great CS dinner! Then there were Adrian in Coimbra and Teresa in Lisbon! In Spain we surfed at Cato and Vicky's and at Nieves'. In Australia, there were Ross, awesome Sarah & Juan in Melbourne, and Alice & Jack in Hobart. All wonderful experiences!!!!

Travelling! Discovering new music. Literature (Cecilia has a life long pasion for fantasy & science fiction), social justice, trying new foods (food! food! food! a BIG interest!), meeting people from different cultures and all over the world, and the list goes on and on!
¡Viajar! Descubrir nueva música. La literatura (a Cecilia le gusta mucha la fantasía y la ciencia ficción), cuestiones sociales, probar comidas nuevas, conocer gente de todo el mundo, y la lista sigue!!

Music: So many different things! Basics: Beatles, Queen, Pink Floyd, U2, Sinatra, Ray Charles, well, classic rock and soul in general. Also Johnny Cash, Nina Simone, Sam Cooke, jazz and blues, Ella Fitzgerald, Silvio Rodriguez, Joaquin Sabina, Manu Chao, Andres Calamaro, Ben Harper, Alabama 3, tango, and a very long etcetera. Open to practically anything! Especially if it can be sung along to! :)
Books: J. R. R. Tolkien, Neil Gaiman, Bradbury, Frank Herbert, Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Nick Hornby, Eduardo Galeano, Isabel Allende, Gabriel García Marquez, Shakespeare, post colonial literature, and many more!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Been (are!) in love.To quote Teresa, survived "that" childhood. (Cecilia speaking in this one!) And to quote Ben, been treated like friends by strangers. Most thrilling experience: skydived in Wanaka, New Zealand!!! Went paragliding at Merlo, San Luis. Watched the sun rise from the top of a pyramid at Tikal, Guatemala. Drank mate all over the world!! Spent the night in the Sahara desert!
Estar enamorados. :) Sobrevivir mi infancia! (Cecilia) Ser tratados como amigos por gente en todo el mundo! Tomar mate por todo el mundo. Hacer parapente y skydiving. Pasar una noche en el Sahara.

Share: Singing!! (Cecilia loves singing and has a ridiculously good memory for song lyrics!) Spanish & English. Football, playing, cheering, anything involving football. And many anecdotes and stories!
Teach: How to make & drink mate! How to make a good barbecue! The coolest card game in the history of card games: the great Dalmuti!!! A little bit of mythology, but very little. (In fact, if you can teach us more, awesome!)
Learn: Anything and everything!

We both love having the chance to get to know our hosts and spend some time together, sharing a nice dinner for example (which we can cook, of course!) and talking about our lives, travels and experiences.
