Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm Cécile! I live in France! I just finished my licence in Languages and Tourism after one year in Erasmus in Sevilla (Spain) and I'm taking a gap year to travel to Europe. I think that I'm an openminded and cheerful person (at least I try everyday to be). I always try to see people with empathy and I love to get to know other cultures and other ways of life.
Empathy, spontaneity, and fun are the things I live by!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling through Europe would not be possible for me for two reasons: the first and "obvious" is that I couldn't afford hostels everyday. But most of all, more than just visiting a country, I want to discover its locals and their culture. I also love to meet new people in an authentic context and I think that CS would allow me to disover the world through the eyes of the locals. It definitely seems like the best way of travelling, at least for me!
Anyway, I'm going on the first big adventure of my life and i want to share it with people and make some friends around the world!
Interests
I loooove to travel, meet people everywhere I go, have long chats about everything that comes to our mind and laugh! I'm also a vegetarian for two years (though I don't judge people who are not!) because I love animals and also because my awareness about environment, global warming, consumerism, is getting bigger and bigger everyday.
I love dancing and singing, going to concerts and movies!
I'm not reaaally a sportperson but I love hiking and swimming. I'l willing to try everything (except running maybe :) )

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is my passion! I'm open-minded about that and I pretty much like every type but I'm particularly into Soul, rock/Rock n Roll, Folk, French music and music from Africa and Hindu singing
Movies: Terrence Malik, Ingmar Bergman, Tarantino, Nolan, Miyazaki...
Into the Wild, Fight Club, Pride and Prejudice, Transpotting, The Tree of Life, the Thin Red Line, Casablanca, North by Northwest, The Revenant... And so many more but I'm always forgetting the titles !
I've mainly read Classics such as "l'Oeuvre" from Zola or "David Copperfield" from Charles Dickens. I also really like Jane Austen's books.
Beyond my more "modern" readings, I'd say my favourites are "The Unbearable Lightness of being" from Milan Kundera and "1984" by George Orwell
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Leaving for the weekend with some friends in Ireland to go camping without even knowing where, how and without even a sleeping bag. Just with the objective to sleep by a lake!
And also leaving France to settle in Spain for a year!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you french, english and spanish obviously! I also love to share my tastes in music and cinema.
There's so many things I don't know that anything that my host is willing to share with me is more than welcome! I'm pretty much interested in anything!
What I Can Share with Hosts
