Overview
About Me
My name is Cecilia and I'm a freelancer in Mexico City. I studied English Literature and Gastronomy, therefore I work both in the book and the food industries. Since I'm a freelancer, I work most of the time at home, reason why my place is very cozy.
I live with my flatmate Diego (a cultural and sports journalist) and my two beautiful boxer girl-dogs: Mora and her daughter Teodora. We're all great, we enjoy life and people from all sorts: we don't like narrow minded people.
The flat is near one of the most important colonial neighborhoods in Mexico City: Coyoacan; and is also pretty close to the new "cultural and artistic" corridor Downtown-Juarez-Condesa-Roma. The location is exceptional, for despite being in a little neighborhood, we are actually surrounded by big and important avenues, with a lot of options for public transportation (including publics bikes).

Music, Movies, and Books
On music, I like many things from many genres... difficult to pin-point. But I think my three favorite artists are: The Guess Who, Led Zeppelin and Bill Callahan, if that makes any sense. Lately, I've been enjoying a lot Hip-Hop, R&B, Blues and Reggae... I was a pianist-child too, with a family of classical musicians, so, I also listen to that. Oh, and I love Salsa! And Tango! And... you get the point.
About films I'm not very artsy, I love Detective John McClane, if you know what I mean...
TV series: whatever's on.
And books... I would never finish, so.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've traveled a lot. I cook really good.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A lot of things. I come from a family very much interested in culture and we all work about it.
I also live part time in the nearby city of Puebla (another very beautiful colonial city; historically very important and comercial for it was on the way to Mexico City from the Veracruz Port). There I live a few kilometers away from the Magic Town of Cholula. If you'd like to visit, there's a couch there too.
