About Me
Hej!
My name is Cecilia and I'm a 26 year old Swedish speaking Finn who have lived in Sweden for the past 9 years. At the moment I have just finished my BA thesis in English linguistics and I'm travelling in Europe. One of the top priorities on my bucket list is to travel around the world. I love singing, browsing through vintage shops, dogs, pasta and people who make me laugh.
As a person I'm easygoing and calm. I always try to keep a positive outlook on life and to treat others with kindness and respect. I'm a vegetarian since 2007 and have a passion for animal welfare.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm mainly here to find new friends and to learn more about other cultures from a local's perspective. I'm unfortunately not able to host anyone at the moment, but I'm nonetheless always interested in meeting new people. I have only been staying in hostels so far, which I enjoy because it's easy to meet a lot of people from different countries at once, but I also want to try to immerse myself in the local culture, and I think couchsurfing seems like an excellent way to do that.
Interests
Music is what I love the most! I sing and play guitar, piano and some ukulele, and also write songs. Other than that, I enjoy reading, travelling, spending time with my family and friends, and watching series.

My absolute favorite band is called Lake Street Dive (I saw them live in Dublin 2016, it was honestly the best concert ever!). Some of the other stuff I listen to: Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Vulfpeck, Emily King, Tess Henley and lots of 60's music.
MOVIES
Cry Baby, Her, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Hidden Figures, Big Fish, Amélie, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Big Eyes, Arrival, Boys Don't Cry and Monster.
SERIES
Please Like Me, Chewing Gum, Orange is the New Black, Modern Family, Stranger Things and New Girl.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved away from home when I was 15, which was such a rewarding (and sometimes terrifying) experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can maybe share some singing tips or teach you how to play "I wanna be like you" from The Jungle Book on ukulele! Or why not teach you some Swedish? :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Positive energy, discussions about anything and everything, vegetarian cooking, and a jam session or two?! :)
