About Me

Hi there!
My name is Gustavo, by the time I'm writing this section I am a 19 year old college student from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. I'm currently coursing my second year in Advertisement and I am completely passionate about creative thinking, design, sharing economy, culture, cinematography, social entrepreneurship (which is a word I can never write correctly in my first attempt) and - of course - traveling. Being from a small town in a third world country, as a teenager I've always believed that how much you are enjoying your life can be measured by the frequency in which you find yourself in an airport. I love the world, always believe in the best of people, and I am looking forward to start studying abroad pretty soon, so if I get in touch with you, it is probably about that! ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I was one of those kids who tried very hard to be cooler than the others for being really into indie rock, so there's that. The Killers, The Strokes, Two Door Cinema Club, Franz Ferdinand, The Black Keys. I also like classic rock, Brazilian Popular Music, mainly the tropicalians, and I am also really into classic quirky and weird 80's and 90's tunes!

As for movies I love a whole bunch of them, but my favourite one of all time has got to be Back to the Future. I am a huge fan of Edgar Wright, Quentin Tarantino, David Fincher, musicals, thrashy films and I also believe that Guardians of the Galaxy is the best Marvel movie yet.

I'm not much of a reader, and I am a bit ashamed to tell this to people. I've read the Harry Potter books and another bunch of young adult novels. I've also read the most well known brazilian authors, such as Machado de Assis and Guimarães Rosa, but I don't think there's anything else. I'm looking forward to buying a Kindle very soon, so I hope to be able to widen this list!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have taken a selfie with a capybara. I've climbed on countless stages and performed along with the band. I've caught every 718 pokémon. I've leaded a protest. I can lick my elbow. I've been a sticker in an album. I've seen Paul McCartney live. I got turned down in my college's Communications Junior Enterprise and became one of it's directors six months after.
