About Me

I am a student looking to travel as much as possible and experience the world in a way that will help me learn and grow! I am very friendly, polite, and thoughtful and love interacting with new people. In my past travels I found I have formed deep friendships with host families and locals I have had the privilege of spending time with. I hope to continue having these experiences and building these connections!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a student studying international affairs, I have found the best way to learn about the world around me is to experience it hands on! I would love to make friend with people from around the world and hear about the place they live and their thoughts first hand. There is no better way to travel than with local knowledge, and I’m looking to gain all the insider tips and tricks to experiencing your home with all its local charm

Interests

I am very interested in learning and exploring the world! For me, this means taking every aspect of a community in, including its food, music, history, and people! I also enjoy walking and outdoor activities as well as culturally enriching ones.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love The Beatles, Queen, Natalia Lafourcade, Enrique Iglesias, Devandra Banhart, Bahamas and more! I’m always open to new music suggestions

I love A Star is Born, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown, The Sound of Music, the Intern, and Oceans 8! I’m not much of a movie buff but love to watch new things when I have time.

My favorite author is Junot Diaz, I also love Max Brooks, and any short story I can get my hands on... I write in my free time too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While volunteering at a sustainable community farm in Puebla, Mexico, I lived with an amazing host family. I was later asked to attend their son’s first communion! I had never felt so welcomed and connected to a community apart from my own before.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m open to teaching English and Spanish and would love to learn any languages you know! I am known for sharing good food and good music with my friends. More than anything I want to learn about you and the place you call home.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my friendly nature, stories, and help around the house. I am very easy to live with and would love to assist with your daily chores as a way to say thanks for letting me stay with you!

I also may have a trinket or two from my home in Washington DC :)
