ABOUT ME

I like to think I'm a happy, optimistic and friendly kinda person. I enjoy doing pretty much everything and I'll try anything as long as I'm in good company.
I studied Swahili and Anthropology as my first degree and then spent a year working in Kenya. I am now back in England, studying adult nursing in Southampton.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Started couchsurfing on a trip round Mozambique and Malawi in 2011, which was awesome. Did some hosting in London too and surfed a little around Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Turkey recently.

I enjoy everything in moderation I'd say. At the moment music like Amadou & Mariam, Wir sind Helden, Laura Marling, Simon & Garfunkel, Sam Cooke, Mzungu Kichaa, Buena Vista Social Club, Olafur Arnalds, The Decemberists, Virginia Coalition, Adele, Norwegian Recycling, Diamond, Souad Massi, the list goes on...
Among my favourite movies are The Untouchables and Silver Linings Playbook.

swimming with whalesharks was pretty amazing/terrifying :)
