About Me

- english below-

Siempre estoy abierta a escuchar historias.

I'm Cecilia from Córdoba, Argentina. I'm 34 years old and I love photography, animals, nature and life healthy. Since I became friend of this kind of live I became vegetarian. In my travel around Europe I found so many interesting things like permaculture and sustainble ways of living that I want to learn more to make the same in my country, in my little life each day :)

I traveled as a backpacker around my country, Chile and Uruguay. Then I visited United States and Canada, and cities around Europe working as a volunteer, hitchhike and knowing amazing people. In 2018 I visited Perú in this way too. I never count countries, I think most important are the stories and the real knowledge that you get once you are on the road. I feel so thankful for that. No matter how (walking, on bus, on train or in a car), travel is the most beautiful experience that you can have.

I love photography, videos and everything in this area, like analogue photography too! I worked 6 years in my University as a journalist, graphic design and a photographer but finally I quited. Since that, I try to developed my own business taking photos and making videos about life, art projects, dance or anything that people want to tell me! I'm always open to hear stories. I currently work mainly recording ecological restoration projects that work on the conservation of native biodiversity. Nature has always been my greatest curiosity. I am in the process of developing my first documentary.

My own business is based in my country but meantime I travel much as I can and I'm always hoping have any kind of propose for work around the world. I travel always with my camera and my computer. I love documentaries so I always try to do something related to that. Just watching and learning. Without control any situation. I love spontaneous and real moments.

I feel confident about new situations and happy to learn new things and know new life styles. I'm easy going and flexible people.

About me… I do aerial silks in my place, in public circus lessons. Amazing for me, that’s my therapy. I also run in the mountains. I'm a huge fan of The Beatles, but I love so much jazz! One of my grandfather has an amazing place with a lot of music, clocks (hundred of them!) and cameras (that's why I love photography).

By the way, I'm always learning English, so I'm sure you will understand my mistakes. You are welcome to correct me and let me learn from you.

Music, Movies, and Books

About movies, Studio Ghibli is a great influence in my childhood with My Neighbor Totoro or Grave of the Fireflies are the best. Then, movies like Back to the Future, Batteries Not Included, The Sandlot, Forrest Gump, ET; or newest like The Lord of the Ring, Into The Wild, Almost Famous and Two of us love them to.

Music: The Beatles, Jazz, Tango, Pink Floyd, Sigur Ros, Bon Iver, Novo Amor, Renne Aubry, Coldplay, Radiohead, The Kooks, Gustavo Santaolalla, Joni Mitchell, For a Minor Reflection, Tony Anderson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, The Shins, Kings of Convenience, Beirut, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Charly García, Nito Mestre, Fito Paéz, , Natalia Lafourcade, Adrian Berra, Ana Prada. There are more, of course.

Books: Gabriel García Márquez, Milan Kundera, Ernesto Sábato, Mario Benedetti, Jon Krakauer, Peter Singer, Emma Cline, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Jack Kerouac. More…

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think jump on parachutes still on the top of my favourites things I ever done. Hiking mountains also, and abseil (o rappel down the Mountain)

By the other hand, travel four times only to see Paul McCartney's concerts was one of my favourites things because I did that with my dad. And we stayed with couchsurfing together in a lovely place in Montevideo (his first experience)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach about photography and films. Why not aerial silks? ;)
I happy just to hear travel stories but really open to learn about cultures around the world: meals, customs, music, writers. I'm interested in permaculture, garden and ecological restoration programs. I want to learn more about that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am currently at home in Córdoba (Río Cuarto). It depends on the season, I may be traveling nearby or very busy, but I will know exactly at this time. I have space for travelers: an extra mattress or on the sofa in the living room. The home is small but cozy. I live with my cat Totoro, he loves meeting new people :).
Of course I can walk around, have a coffee and give you advice about the city and its surroundings.
