About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I never want to grow up, I just want to keep growing
ABOUT ME
I'm fairly laid back because I think life is too short to get stressed about petty things. I don't think you should take anything in life that you're not willing to give in return, and I don't think it's wise to gamble with more than you're willing to lose. I enjoy things like good family, good friends, good times and the rest usually has a way of working itself out. As a rule I am always late and will likely always be tardy. But I was late coming out of the womb though so I got off to a bad start. I also have the habit of getting into things without really thinking it through which has gotten me into some trouble (and fun!) before.
PHILOSOPHY
The mature and profound side to me says that you should do what you say, say what you mean, and love what you do.
The immature (and also quite possibly Ukrainian side) says there is nothing you cannot achieve with a potato and determination (Really...I defy you....potato cannons, decorative Christmas stamps, food delights both fried and unfried, vodka, just to name a few examples).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I slept in someone's bathtub once...does that count? I surfed in Durban, ZA and in Coventry when I first got to the UK. I've had a guy from Quebec and another guy from Germany stay at mine back in Canada.
Interests
I love horseback riding and being in the country. I don't like exercising in the gym sense but I bike to work everyday and I like to be outside doing suff most of the time. I play the piano and love it in spite of being out of practice for a few years. Also just picked up the guitar, might have finally mastered the F chord. I used to dance, mostly jazz, modern and a bit of ballet but my dance teacher said I looked like a drunk bear. You have to be passionate about some things in life and my passions include music, art, literature and witty banter.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read a lot because I don't have a tv that can pick anything up. I just finished The Naked Ape and really enjoyed it. I also recently started a love affair with Anton Chekhov and haven't looked back. Somerset Maugham is also a personal fav and Rudyard Kipling. All the places you will go by Dr. Seuss is also fantastic. It seems a little ridiculous to pay 13$ to see movies in the theatre so I rent the usual fare (Dirty Dancing far too many times but who can resist the sheer raw allure of a topless Patrick Swayze?) Revenge of the Nerds is a classic, and for a more cracked out version of the Wizard of Oz, Return to Oz is a must. Music: sad bastard music (any genre). And on the weekends... I like to kick it old school.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming in the ocean for the first time at the tender age of 21. I've pet a kangaroo in the wild. OOo.. and I wrassled a goose once. And there was that time I absconded with the motorized wheelchair... (Who can keep it to just one thing?)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can knit...dish towels (lots of 'em).
