I'm a junior at the University of Nevada, Reno. I'm an advocate for the environment, love spending time with my family, playing with my puppy, and trying new things.

I love to travel and see the unknown, and I love making friendships with people from different walks of life than me. Through CS we can make the world smaller and more connected :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In January 2016 I visited Istanbul, Turkey and fell in love with the city. The culture combined with the historic places left me speechless. However, the thing I will remember most was the hospitality of the people there. They put others before themselves, even strangers, in any situation. Since I've come back to the U.S I've changed my way of life to be more generous.

I also think that the feeling of giving back is better than anything money can buy. I haven't had a chance to host because I live with my parents and they are quite strict. However, once I move out and have my own place I will begin to host as many people as possible.

Interests

I'm like a melting pot--there is no defining me. I've been to several music festivals including EDC, Hard Summer, Beyond Wonderland, and BOO! I love reading Harry Potter, doing yoga and being active. I played tennis in high school, I eat chipotle at least once a week, and I love traveling. I love making new friends and finding something in common with the person you least expect.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love any kind of music, but I am especially a fan of EDM. My favorite artists include Manila Killa, Felix Cartal, Hotel Garuda, Vanic, Odesza, Jack U, and the list could go on!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was one of the four College of Liberal Arts Senators for the 83rd session of Senate at the University of Nevada, Reno. Throughout my campaign my main platform was that I wanted to make the university more eco-friendly. With the help of the Arboretum Board, I was able to help coordinate the planting of 192 tree saplings north of our intramural fields. This not only helped stop erosion on the fields, but it helped the university become more eco-friendly!
