About Me
Hello,
I'm Cedric, 29 from France.
I've been a Parisian for almost 10 years and travelled a lot in rural France, Europe and a bit in America and Pacific.
I worked 6 years in a Parisian Startup before taking a nice break of 18 months with the idea of helping others while learning new things in life.
Those months were spent with : a lot of hitchhiking across France and Europe, volunteering in music festivals, wwoofing in goat farms and workawaying around. I ended up as a wilderness guide in Sweden before guiding tourist in Paris for the last period of my break.
**** Update *** *** *** ***
I'm now having a break from travelling with a full time job in Paris during week days. I sometimes work in the week-ends or late at night so I might not be able to share as much time as I use to with guests coming to my house.
PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST FOR MORE THAN A WEEK IN ADVANCE, I'm really bad at planing things too much in advance.
*** *** *** *** *** ***
I love nature, healthy food, ancient civilisations' history and above all goats.
I'm said to be a funny, kind and easy to talk with person :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
At first I've decided to be on CS to be able to host travellers in Paris and help them discover our great city.
While I knew I would need CS for my future trips so I didn't want to take without have given at first.
I enjoy so much to share some time with host and have long discussions about their universe (not only their town).
Using CS is now part of my travel philosophy along with hitchhiking and volunteering to help locals.
Having stop travelling for the moment I wish to help the travellers stopping by Paris

Music, Movies, and Books
For the music I usually let Spotify find new music tailored for me every week.
When I have to choose, I often listen to indie "sad" music (Cigarettes after Sex, Agnes Obel, Chris, Anthony and the Johnson, Austra, Aurora...), indie rock (the dø, Franz Ferdinand...) and when I really want another mood I switch to Die Antwoord.
Recently I opened my tastes in order to try and discover the world and science of electronic music (Rone, Agar Agar, Meute, Justice, the Blaze...), so any advice on this journey would be welcomed :)
Movies are for me a great way to discover new things and learn about culture and history.
We could have great discussion about my favourites which are work from : Jeff Nichols, Park Chan-Wook, Dolan, Nolan, Wes Anderson, Steve McQueen, Denis Villeneuve and many others ...
TV shows I follow : GOT, Stranger Things, Vikings, Walking Dead
Books: I spent several years reading all GOT books but managed to get out of it in order to read more about adventurer's journey (Sylvain Tesson is one of the guru), ecology and ancient civilisation ... (and of course I'm a Potter fan !)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a winter above the Arctic Circle working as a wilderness guide in Sweden to hunt the northern lights for tourists...
2 months after starting hitchhiking I decided to volunteer in music festivals during the summer to get some road experience ... During that summer I managed to travel approximately 6000km hitchhiking in France and UK working for 5 different music festivals (bonus point for hitchhiking the Channel Ferry !)
Teach, Learn, Share
When I host and have free time I can guide you around Paris for a classical city tour or go in special neighbourhoods for a street art oriented tour.
I also enjoy going out for live concerts or techno parties in Paris so if you are into it, I could look up for what's going on during your stay.
It is always pleasant to share a good talk or walk around with a host/surfer in general :)
I like to cook for others so if I have time and a fridge not too empty I will do my best to cook a nice meal for my guests.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Share anything that get's into the motto : "Travel, discover, learn and meet !"
