Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined this community because I like to travel, and according to me, the most important thing is to meet local people ! I am very interested by knowing how people perceive their city and to learn things which are not written in tourist guides.

I still believe in generosity, help and solidarity. All of us have so many experiences to share ! The best trip is definitely when you can be with people from other countries and discover new cultures and customs. So I expect to meet kind and respectful people that I don't know yet and spend a very good time with them.

Interests

I obtained my diploma after studying geography and tourism. Then I would like to have a job in relation with tourism or local development. I try to specialize in outdoor sports, in particular in cycle touring. I like to ride my bike to discover new countries, but I also ride it on weekends on the roads of my region !

Music, Movies, and Books

I like every kind of music ! But when I travel, here are my privileged artists : Bob Dylan, Eddie Vedder, M83, Moby, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Loreena McKennitt, Amy Macdonald, etc. Their songs make me feel... alive and carefree !

Concerning cinema, I'm a big fan of the Harry Potter saga, but I also like comedies, comedy dramas and thrillers. My three favorite movies are Into the wild (2007), The Notebook (2004) and Shutter Island (2010).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Travel by bike from Besançon (France) to Vienna (Austria) alone and with very few money. And an another time from Strasbourg (France) to Prague (Czech Republic) with one of my friends.

- Travel three months by hitchhiking in Argentina with my girlfriend, more than 10 000 km along the Atlantic coast and the Andes, camping and also going to meet directly local people to ask for hospitality.
