CURRENT MISSION

To figure out travel before we can no longer have the luxury of planes, to travel with friends to get to know me and my friends better, connect with my Filipino/Hong Kong roots, to bring joy and art ideas with this curiosity I have been given.

ABOUT ME

I am a professional artist and I like dancing and playing the drums. I also like getting into deep conversations, sometimes about controversial topics, in order to understand what is at the core of issues. I'm also non-binary and use any/all pronouns!

I want to learn how to travel well and meet cool people and possibly barter artwork, if I could do this for the rest of my life, I'd be happy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted people not listed on this site, I have only done it a few times now, but I am just starting to get my friend Carmen into Couch Surfing and together we're quite ridiculous, in a good way.

Most recently I've been into: Frank Ocean, Caribou, Cyndi Lauper, and Kumasi Washington, as well as the books: Defiant Gardens, Invisible Cities and The Queer Art of Failure. The movies I recently watched that I highly suggest are Cabaret, Holy Motors, Dina and Tampopo.

I also am passionate about talking about being Autistic and having ADHD (aka “Time Blindness” or “Intention Deficit Disorder”) and talking about the two places I lived that have informed my art making: Detroit and Glasgow.

I like to make hosts laugh, enjoy life and relax and I try to share as much as I can. I really enjoy cooking for people, I enjoy doing dishes, and I try to bring a little bit of art with me to thank the generous host.
