Présentation
À propos de moi
Hi there!
I'm Ceres, currently based in amazing Amsterdam. But secretly I have a big Utrecht crush since I've lived there for years. When I'm not enjoying the beautiful things these two cities have to offer, I'm exploring hotspots abroad where I can feed my hunger for culture, great company and good food.
Oh, and Lisbon is my second (or third now? ;) ) home. Which means you can find me there quite often. So we could probably have a drink and enjoy some great views in that beautiful city as well!
For every (new) surfer that isn’t familiar yet with Couchsurfing: welcome and hope you’ll make some great trips, connections and memories!
On a general note: I don’t mind if you don’t have references (we all need to start somewhere, right?), but make sure you've read my profile before you send a personal request, please. As I’ll open up my house, I like to connect with my guests and spend some time together. So it’s much appreciated if you could tell me what you've planned for your visit to Amsterdam - I'll then have a better idea if we would vibe well!
If you just need a place to crash, that’s fine too: I know some great hostels and hotels in town. ;) Other than that: happy surfing!
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
When I'm not able to travel myself, what other way is more perfect than bringing other cultures close to home and meet up people in my hometown?
I love to meet people from all over the world, to exchange ideas and learn more about other cultures and languages. Especially languages is a big thing for me. I still keep telling myself I'm fluent in all the languages I've ever learned, when actually I forgot half of it. Haha, I can def. use some practice there. And no, I don't expect a full language course here, but would be fun to learn some of your culture and habits through your language ;).
I love to hang out in Amsterdam and discover some new places. Cause yes, when strolling down or cycling through the center with non-locals I also see the city from a different perspective. But don't worry, I do know some local secrets haha.
For travellers who are curious about Utrecht, I can show them the beautiful city and take them to the funniest, cosiest en greatest hidden spots .. ofcourse by bike like the Dutchies do! We can explore the canals by waterbike, have some great food in one of the nice spots and maybe even climb the Domtoren for an amazing view!
Even if I'm not able to host, you can write me to meet up and hang around. I'd love to show you the city, enjoy some great conversations, share food or even give you tips if that's what you're looking for!
So, if you are still here and thinking of sending me a request: thank you, looking forward to meet you! As the amount of request is sometimes a bit overwhelming, I have to be selective. I only read/reply if you start with "The red canary says hi". Then I know you made it till the end (at least) and know (hopefully!) why we should meet! ☝️
