I have a real love and passion for travelling, it's what led me to living on the other side of the world, in Sydney for the past 8 years and making me a dual Irish/Australian citizen.

My absolute favourite part of travelling are the people I meet along the way. I love sharing experiences, learning about different cultures and hopefully having lots of "craic" (irish slang for fun) along the way.

My partner, Padraig, and I are currently travelling around the world and are hoping to see and experience as many different countries, cultures, people and foods along the way ☺️

We were recommended to try Couchsurfing by friends we met island hopping in the Philippines in April 2023. They were on a year-long trip and spoke so highly of their experience with Couchsurfing, the fantastic people they got to meet through it and the friendships they have kept from it, so we are eager to experience this ourselves🙂

We are more than happy entertaining ourselves, but bonus would be to get to hang out with our hosts. We are outgoing, friendly, clean and consider ourselves fun :) If there is anything we could do in exchange for your hosting (Padraig LOVES to cook), please let us know.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At the end of a backpacking South-East Asia trip in 2015, I missed my flight back home to Ireland and instead booked a one-way flight to Sydney (my family thought I was joking when I called to tell them I wasn't coming home and could they ship a suitcase of all my clothes over to Australia).

I am now an Australian Citizen and can confirm it was worth it ;)
