Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Its a great filter to find more openminded people who can take jokes on their own account and dont mind disagreeing on a topic.

It's hard to find local non-tourists workers sometimes. (looking at you SE Asia). It happened to me that I've spent days just hanging out with other travellers in a foreign country, CS saved me and showed me the place through different eyes.

Interests

I love hiking. It's fun, relaxing, healthy, free all over the world and brings people together. I also like swimming, jogging and cycling.

Didn't like science when I way young, but now I love it. I'm interested to know what you do in. Even if you think it's too high-tech or i'm not artsy enough, I'd love to hear you out. If I can explain nuclear physics and quantum mechanics to my 10 year old sister, I'm sure you can explain to me why you do what you do.

I made a business pitch for a social banking idea as a superhero panda, with a towel as a cape in front of the Ministry of Education and CEO of the National Bank and was applauded for it.

Had to do community service work as a reward for my excelling at my Masters degree. Did a public presentation on the subject and won first prize.

I can take you hiking, I can help you with physics and mathematics, 19 and 20 century's history, fix your computer, teach you to play a trombone and drive a tractor. Oh yeah, since I do programming for a living, I can also probably get you started with that.
