Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Made Aliyah and finishing up my master's degree in Jerusalem
ABOUT ME
I graduated from college a few years ago. Worked in retail for a bit while I tried to sort myself out. I just made Aliyah (Jewish return to the homeland, aka immigration to Israel). I learned Hebrew, served in the IDF and am now getting my master's degree and working and enjoying this city.
PHILOSOPHY
Travel a lot. Make the world a better place. I want to see more of the world than I have not seen and I want to do more good than harm.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My mom hosts all the time and has stayed with CSers in the US and Europe. I have met up with surfers and surfed in Israel and a few other places.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed a few times now and my mother hosts constantly, so I am always helping show csers around Boston. I also have made some couchsurfing buddies out near my college, even though I can't host because I live in a tiny studio.
Interests
Anthropology, animal rights, climbing, skiing, craft beer, cocktails.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Princess Bride (book and movie, but that movie is better), Monique and the Mango Rains (amazing book. If you're interested in Africa, midwifery or the PeaceCorps, you should definitely read it).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During my semester in Mali, we went on a "Grand Excursion" to several famous cities and sites. We spent two nights in the Dogon Country, which is stunningly beautiful and pristine. One night we slept on the roof of our hotel. This might not sound that exciting, but when there is effectively zero light polution, the stars are simply amazing. Then we woke up very very early and walked to the edge of a cliff and watched the sun rise over the Malian sahel. I have never seen anything more beautiful in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English and a bit of French or Hebrew. I love to discuss culture, travel, anthropology, economics, government, current events, social and economic equity, and any number of other things. The best way to learn is to read and discuss, and I am capable of and willing to do both. If anyone is up for having some slightly slow, slightly broken conversations in Hebrew, I'd love that!
