About Me

I'm a very easy going girl, very friendly always ready to have a good conversations and going to places I've never been before. Experiences is one the most important things for me in live and that includes making new friends, sharing with them, interchange thoughts and learning from each other.
I love cooking, the cities, walking while sipping a coffee and talking... I enjoy simple things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why am I on Couchsurfing? I think travelling is so much more than visiting touristic places and seeing beautiful landscapes. Getting to know locals customs, idiosyncrasies , ways to interact by sharing with them, that's one of the best parts of travelling, that's what makes the travel tasty and complete. There's so much to learn about locals culture and I reckon the best way to do it is not by reading it in a book but interacting , experiencing and sharing with them. In the same way I can share my Argentinean culture which I think you will like it ;)

Interests

I love cooking, I love trying new meals, flavors, spices, etc. I love cakes and it is my part time job! You can see them in my facebook page Miss Baker St. https://www.facebook.com/MISS-BAKER-ST-Tortas-de-cumplea%C3%B1os-y-reposter%C3%ADa-1620088834920059/
I really enjoy good conversations while sipping a coffee, having a meal, a glass of wine, walking to the shop, doing laundry or driving a car. Sharing experiences, different thoughts and points of view is what make us grow up and being a better person every day. Some of the best people I know I met them travelling. I have very very good and close friends from different countries (USA, Czech Republic, Germany, Chile, Mexico, New Zealand, France...). They have taught me how to think differently and the value of the thought diversity. Those friends are one of my most valuable treasures.
I love animals (I love pets! My dogs Kepler and Luna can tell you), I love plants, I love the stars, the universe (I wanna learn about astronomy, deeply, someday).
I love music, and even though I might be stuck in the 90´s music, I like getting to know new and fresh music.
I love cities!!! (so much)
I love museums!
And yes, of course... I LOVE SCIENCE!!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: A little bit of everything. Jamiroquai, Daft Punk, Disclosure, Chemical Brothers, Moby, Madonna... the 90´s is where I am stuck! (I really need to get out of there, I know).
Movies: I think my favorite movie is The Fight Club. But I also think The Prestige, Big Fish, The Illusionist, 9 reinas and Relatos Salvajes could be also my favorites.
Books: A Sherlock Holmes fan (as you can see my cakes facebook page it's call Miss BAKER ST... I also loved A Brief History of time by Stephen Hawking and Le Petit Price by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think one of the thing that I've done and for me it was amazing was going to a floating village in Siem Reap, Cambodia. It was also by accident there I got there, and it was one of the best experiences I had in my life. I lean how people survived with 50 cents of a dollar a day (the whole family) and still manage to be happy, polite and get some education. Visiting them changed my perception of life, and made me reconsider previous thoughts I have about many things and I think now I'm a better person, more tolerant and sensitive.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some spanish (I've never done it, but we can try), I can teach you how to prepare some argentinean delicious meals (I will make some for you), if you like cake decorating I can teach you some and some general handcrafting.
I would like to learn about other cultures, how to make some local food, get to know the city (I love cities) and especially learning by sharing experiencesof life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a place to stay, some meals, good conversations, local tourist advising and some time to visiting Mendoza due to I'm pretty busy but I´ll do my best.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Brazil, Cambodia, Chile, England, France, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United States
