About Me

I'm a compulsive traveler. Something doesn't seem right about the world? I go out and see it from a different angle. Excited about life? I meet some new people and find out what they think. Worried about the future? Traveling through space and time seems to help!

I have been questing to understand the US better, and I'm trying to get to know both rural and urban parts of the country. I love nature and it breaks my heart to see it being swallowed up faster than it's being protected. I hope to change that someday.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Falling asleep to sound of pounding monsoon rain and the scent of incense drifting in my window. Bicycling every day and every where. Seeing more meteors than I could count. A house in San Francisco consumed by flames. Being stung by a scorpion, chased by bears, and stalked by a mountain lion, 3m boulders rolling around like pebbles in the giant waves of the pacific, canyoneering in Utah, sitting quietly in the midst of a pack of howling coyotes.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been an art teacher and really like sharing art skills and drawing people's portraits. I make really good mixed drinks as a result of my bartender skills.

My friends and I are seasoned dumpster divers. We were even in the newspaper for it! We have taken couchsurfers dumpster diving before and it was great fun. Plus they had breakfast for their trip home! I would love to visit dumpsters with a host.

I'm also training in Tai Chi, so I'd love to learn more from people who do Tai Chi.
