About Me
CURRENT MISSION
How many cups of sugar does it take to get to the moon?
ABOUT ME
I've just moved back to Southern California after living abroad in Thailand for three years. I loved my time abroad, but it felt like it was time to come back home, spend time with my family, and settle down.
PHILOSOPHY
Do what makes you happy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love hitting the toursity spots as much as the next person, but I love getting the more local and hopefully weirder experiences even more. I love meeting new people, swapping travel stories and tips, and just doing random things that become exciting stories to tell later.
I've really enjoyed hosting people, and although my current apartment is inadequate for hosting, I look forward to hosting more when I can. All in all, I love sharing travel tips as well as cultural knowledge with friends, new and old.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had my first surfing experience in August 2014 and it was AMAZING. One of my hosts in Malaysia will be a life-long friend who I meet randomly throughout life whenever we happen to be in the same country; and the other gave me one of the most unique, living-in-the-jungle travel experiences I've ever had. I'm almost worried those two hosts spoiled me too much for my first experience, but I guess we'll see!
My brother & I hosted several people while living in the heart of Bangkok and met some truly beautiful souls. Unfortunately he has moved back to America and I live in a much smaller apartment now, so am unable to host anymore.
All in all, I can't wait to travel more, host more (eventually), and meet more interesting & exciting people.
Interests
I love bright colors, Thai Iced Tea (chayen), and thick, buttery, so-rare-they're-still-bleeding steaks. I'm also a big fan of epic fantasy books/series/movies. I could talk about Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, The Warded Man, and more for hours. And I have a soft spot for rom-coms (though typically more com, less rom). And has anyone else read The Butterfly Garden because OH. MY. GAWD.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: A Goofy Movie, Bring It On, Fired Up!, How to Train Your Dragon, The Hunger Games (et al), Pitch Perfect 1 & 2, Magic Mike XXL ;)
TV: The Office, Game of Thrones, Survivor, The Big Bang Theory, Breaking Bad, ANTM, Modern Family, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Rupaul's Drag Race
