ABOUT ME

I am an enthusiastic, life loving, optimistic(with realism thrown in)person. I have 2 college degrees and just landed my first real well paying job here in Thunderbay and I couldn't be happier to be back! I spent the first 7 years of my life here and its the closest thing to home I've got.

I moved around a lot in my youth-8 times by the time I was 10) and then I have moved 11 times in the past 5 years. Hopefully Im here to stay for a while. :)

I can't wait for summer and everything it brings- hiking, biking, swimming- lots and lots of swimming!!!- and general enjoyment outdoors. I love being active and creative, I sketch, make jewelry, journal and scrapbook regularly.

Im hoping to make some friends and really get out and enjoy life here while it lasts.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything: every day, every moment is unique. I try to find something beautiful in everything, be strong enough to make the right decision over the easiest- and there have been many tough ones in my life. You will never be in exactly the same place ever in your life, physically or emotionally, everything is always changing so embrace the change!

I've learned to enjoy people while they are in your life- be it an hour, a day, a week, a year, or your whole life. The amount of time doesn't matter only the imprint they leave on your life does.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Host, host, HOST! I finally have a place that's all mine and the resource to host people. I love meeting new people and sharing experiences so don't be shy! I try to host everyone who sends me a request
I also tell as many people as I can about this community and try to get my friends involved.

*DISCLAIMER* I say yes to almost every request but this is leading to issues for me. In 2014 I've had 6 no shows. Not showing without any form of communication in advance is Extremely RUDE! I Clear my schedule, dont make plans with friends and am home to be a good host and make sure that you have a good time, so PLEASE be respectful and show up or communicate that you wont so that I dont sit up till midnight wondering where you are and worrying that you're hurt. CS is not a free motel service and I am inviting you into my HOME so please dont treat me like a pit stop

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Dublin, shared a room, went to an old man pub, saw so much I can't even decribe.
Navan; met amazing people, had a blast, and have never talked so much in my life, couch there.
Drogheda, Had my own room, amazing. Hosts brought me right into their life and made me feel so like the family I didn't want to leave.
Glascow- Awesome. Saw most of the city. Went to fun night events, and hosts were some of the nicest people I met
Manchester, again awesome. Got drunk, sat in an army shop, at, talked, watched movies, found the most amazing market.

Hosting! I've hosted a few people at my place and its been great to get to know them!

Intereses

I am interested in everything. Music, travel, sports, reading, learning, crafts, experiencing the world.
In school my interest is marine biology, I love the water and anything to do with it. I love canoeing, kayaking and swimming. I could spend the rest of my life on the water.
I make jewelery as a hobby and i love to read, mostly medieval fiction.

Música, películas y libros

I like all kinds of music,. from r&b to reggae and country. Mostly I like something with a good tune and a good message.
I love to read, most of my personal library is medievil fantasy and fiction, but I like historical books, biographical book, philosophy, anything I can get my hands on.
I like most movies, I personally don't watch any horror movies and I dislike the 'stupid funny' genre as my friend describes it. Things liek step brothers and pinnapple express. My favourite movies are kids movies because they are fun, joyful and usually has a nice, simple message that remains relevant for years, if not forever.

I have been told that I have a unique way of looking at the world. I think the best of everyone, as I don't think that people are naturally malicious, and I trust very easily, which does get me in trouble form time to time.
I'm an avid environmentalist. I spent 2 year going to an environmental college, so I have many practical bush skills, from navigation to flora and fauna identification.
I also know a tonn of Native American histories and legends as I worked and lived alonside them for years. I loeve telling the stories and teaching/ learning abourt Native Cultures
