ABOUT ME

I am curious... very curious and that's why I travel as much as I can. I love new places, new people, situations, challenges... and I make my dreams come true... I want to go everywhere, see, taste, touch and try everything. I love art and will visit any museum within my reach. I love music but will love to listen to silence of a remote, wild place, too. I love meeting people but I prefer a chat over a quiet glass of wine to a loud disco party full of strangers.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A friend told me ... and I think it's a great idea. I treat it seriously and I respect other people and their time. When I agree to host I am ready to do it and I don't change my mind at the last moment. I appreciate when others do the same. I also decided to host only people over 35. So if you are younger, don't even write as I will surely say no. Please make an effort and read my profile. Start your request with the words: "I'm serious".

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS gives a wonderful chance to get to know people who are different and who live in a different place, but in the end, when you you can talk to them for a while, it turns out that we are all the same. :)
First, I surfed a couch in Turkey... and it was a wonderful experience. Then I had guests at home... and it was even better :) Those Couch Surfers became my friends and we meet whenever we can living so far away from each other.
Then I had some worse experiences of people who didn't tell the truth, changed their plans without telling me. At the same time I refused other surfers. It was a waste of time. So I'm a bit disappointed, but still I believe Couch Surfing is a great thing. See above...

I am interested in art and everything man creates. Therefore I spend hours reading books, mostly non-fiction about different aspect of life in different corners of the world, about problems people have and ways they solve them, about travel of other people, about art, philosophy, science, psychology, civilisation and history...
Sometimes a good novel (I love Heinrich Mankell for his mixture of suspence and deep insight into the dark corners of the human mind) that keeps me busy while I am waiting for hours for a bus somewhere in the middle of nowhere...
I LOVE music: classical, especially Baroque music (Bach, Haendel, Vivaldi), opera, ethnic, folk, rock, jazz...
Films:
Recently: Youth by Paolo Sorrentino
Always: I'm in love with Bond, James Bond, although I'm not his girlfriend (yet). I like films by Win Wenders and Akira Kurosawa. I'm a fan of Chinese films, but my everlasting favourites are Casablanca, Hair and Dangerous Liaisons with John Malkovitch whom I love even more than Bond...

I've been to places my friends at home said were impossible to get... and I managed to come back alive. Every morning I get up smiling and wondering what the day will bring... and then I fall asleep smiling and wondering how come the day was so good again...
