NOTE: I'm pretty busy and I live in a studio apartment, so please be ok with not hanging out and me waking up early.

Born and raised in Boston, I'm a 2016 graduate of the University of Chicago with a major in Linguistics and a minor in Statistics. Before I start work as a software developer in Chicago in August 2016, I'm backpacking through the Balkans, and I'm starting to use Couchsurfing based on the recommendations of friends from home and the road!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love love love traveling, and I also love love love meeting new people and making new friends! I like getting to know people and equally importantly, keeping in touch. I'm on Couchsurfing because I want to meet people who are open to letting strangers into their lives and turning those strangers into friends.

Interests

Besides travelling (and formerly my studies and now my work), I spend the bulk of my time and effort on garment design. For me, fashion design is a way for me to challenge my own and others' preconceptions of clothing and story-telling. You can't tell I design clothes based on my t-shirt/athletic shorts get-up that's my go-to when I'm traveling (and to be honest, when I'm back home too), but that's in line with my philosophy that story-telling should be secondary to story-making.

I'm also super into K-Pop and Star Wars and Ayn Rand.

Music:
Besides BIGBANG which somehow managed to completely capture my heart and soul, my music tastes are super eclectic. I've been really obsessed with specific songs from a wide variety of artists, or the whole repertoire of artist, and my obsession may wax and wane, but it never disappears.
