About Me

CURRENT MISSION

At the moment we are trying to learn as much as possible about gardening and permaculture, in order to set our own garden when we go back home in New Zealand.

ABOUT US

Callum is from New-Zealand and I am from France. We met about 2 years ago at work. We were working at a pharmaceutical company, but we needed a break so we decided to go travelling in Europe. We are now volunteering on farms and being tourists at the same time. We will leave Europe in November to go back to New Zealand.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW WE PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We like helping travelers and meeting new people. We believe in giving back.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first couchsurfing experience a few years ago in Edinburgh and then in Singapour and it was always a wonderful experience (Celia). In New Zealand we have hosted a few people in our house.

Interests

When I'm at home I'm always busy cooking vegan food or crafting. I am obsessed with DIY and love making things with my hands. I am interested in crochet, building furniture from pallets, painting stones, pottery, cosmetics, candles etc...

Callum is really into new technology, programming, and Nintendo games. He is an awesome piano player and getting better and better at electric guitar.

We also like outdoors activities like tramping, gardening, cycling and enjoying the view.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We recently went on a 4-week trip around France in a combi van from 1975. It was amazing to wake up every morning in a different place and to be free to go anywhere we liked. Driving such an old vehicle was really an adventure, never knowing when it was going to breack down.

Teach, Learn, Share

Celia:
I would like to know more about food technology, cooking, gardening.
I miss speaking Spanish and love practicing whenever I can.

Callum:
I would like to learn about running a business, full-stack development, and permaculture.
I can teach you how to play piano, guitar, and program.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can talk about France and New Zealand (and you can make fun of Callum's accent), we can cook, we can go for a drink together or just sit down and exchange ideas on the world.
