About Me
Hey! My name is Celia :) I'm a biotechnology student at Aberdeen university. I grew up Almería (Spain), over there I lived in the countryside. During my childhood, I lived for a bit in Mexico and USA due to my dad's job. When I was 17 I moved to Scotland to study my degree (Biotechnology), and I just came back from Wageningen (Netherlands) where I was doing my internship as part of my degree. All these places have taught me a lot about life, I always say that living in different countries make you realised about the good and bad things of that culture and your own, getting rid of the bad and just taking the good from each place makes you have a really good and open mindset.
If I had to describe myself I would say that I'm quite positive, active and peaceful, always seeing the good side of things. I'm very open-minded and love living abroad, learning other cultures and always meeting new people from different nationalities because I think you learn a lot from each other. I consider myself as a cheerful and social girl that is always up to spend time with my friends.
I have so many passions, that include travelling, whenever it's possible I take my bag-pack and get into the adventure, usually in nature doing hikes and camping because I love being around trees and animals away from the city. I love being surrounded by nature. I am really into animals and my favourites are insects. Art is also one of my passions, and I think I'm quite creative, I can't stop making art craft, paintings and collages. I usually reuse things to make other cool stuff, for example, I transform an old T-shirt into yarn and make a rug, a bag and other things. I am also really into cooking, I like to cook something for the people that host me as a thank you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I travel, I like to take the trip as an adventure, not knowing where I am going to end up, what am I going to see and who am I going to meet. Either alone or with company, I have sometimes been hosted by locals from the place I was visiting and its one of the best parts of the trip, you always learn a lot and experience thing you wouldn't live if you stay in a hotel.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love listening to alternative music, indie, Spanish rock, blues, folk and flamenco. I'm always looking for good unknown bands and trying to go to as many gigs I can.
These days I'm reading a lot of Spanish narrative book, mainly about the civil war.
I quite into TV series and independent movies, I like too many that I couldn't choose my favourite one
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy a lot teaching others how to make accessories for themselves reusing old stuff. Also, I can show how t cook traditional Spanish food or help others practising there Spanish or English.
I really like sharing experiences of places I've visited or lived and hearing adventures from others. I also like that people recommend me music bands and places to go, it's the best way to discover :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm always up for a good chat, walking around the place I'm staying, making a nice dinner and enjoy it all together :)
