Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy life without resistance.
ABOUT ME
I consider myself an even-keeled and relaxed type of person, although initially I can be a bit shy. Not much makes me annoyed and I am never bored; in fact I often think I have too many interests that call my attention. No matter where I am I tend to feel at home, partially from moving often as a child and partially from fostering a sense of being at home on the Earth. I love asking questions, and I love diversity, as I know appearances can be misleading.
PHILOSOPHY
I live to participate and appreciate, and to learn about how I can help restore health in the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Remaining an open-minded, compassionate listener. This is the way I learn about the world and myself.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Many people have stayed on my couch via my boyfriend Rob's couchsurfing connections. You can, too! One of the most enjoyable couchsurfing connection I've made was just meeting someone new to town for dinner; although he wasn't staying with us we still mutually benefited from the connection.
Interests
I love to relax and enjoy myself, no matter what I am doing or who I am with. If my life is not busy I like to listen to music or dance, read in bed, elaborately cook, go on long walks, start quilting or knitting projects, play board games, watch documentaries. When I am busy my focus shifts internally, and I do a lot of things to take care of myself and get sleep. In general I like plant medicine, yoga, music, going outside, naps, crafting, kids, animals, and fresh air.

Music, Movies, and Books
I just started reading modern novels again, but generally I adore a slue of non-fiction health related books. Musically I am on an Indian and African music fix (although I like many artists), and I can't stop re-watching David Attenbrough documentaries (ocean, plants, animals).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It was amazing growing up next to the powerful St. Croix river; being outside and experiencing nature in the river valley fostered a relationship with outside places that I will forever.
Teach, Learn, Share
Medicinal plants, Chinese medicine and herbalism, knitting, and yoga are some of my current interests I love to engage in. I am also a birth doula.
