About Me

I was born to Belgian parents in… Belgium. Yet I was only three weeks old when my Mom took me back to Kenya where the family had been living for two years. I grew up in Kenya, Burundi, Tanzania, Zambia and South Africa, and turned 18 acoming down from Mt Kilimanjaro.

This nomadic lifestyle made for scattered roots, and for a strong sense of belonging to the common denominator of every person I've met in every country: humanity. If you ask me where I'm from, I usually either respond “it’s complicated” or “citizen of the world”…

The complex beauty of our human nature has fascinated me for as long as I can remember...

Today, I'm collaborating with several organizations and setting up my own practice, wishing to encourage and reveal every person, group and community’s flame of extraordinary, that calling to act individually and collectively to co-create a world where difference is celebrated and our human commonality is sacred.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because traveling is a passion and a true driver in my life, but not just any kind of traveling :) ! The kind of traveling you experience when you really "meet" people, truly get to know a place through the people that make that place come alive with their passions and stories.
Also, couchsurfing saved me and my partner's butt when we arrived in Argentina a few years back and had no clue where we were going to stay... :-D ! Always a great network to meet wonderful people who share values of openness and willingness to share!
