About Me
Hi,
my name is Celina or Lina how everyone calls me and I am a 19 years old girl from the western part of Germany (close to Cologne).
My love to travel and meeting new people started to grow a couple of years back during a student exchange in New Zealand. Since then it hasn't stoped growing, it rather continued to grow and never stoped. This is why I visited the USA with an other student exchange program just 8 months after I came back from New Zealand.
Those two exchanges made me dream about going to travel more when I finish High School. So here I am... I am now traveling since 10 months. Spent the first 3 months in Japan and made my first experiences in traveling by myself and being part of the workaway community. After leaving Japan my journey took me to Australia where I started of in Brisbane and met my friend Caroline a week later in Byron Bay. I have got to know her through an internet website where we both were looking for a travelmates for Australia. We met once in Germany and afterwards in Byron Bay again. Since this day we bought a car for a Roadtrip, during which we became really close friends. Until 2 months ago we were still traveling together but then went different ways.
To come to the part where I should describe myself: I would say l, that I am a totally honest and adventures girl ( adventures should be written in capital letters, because I just love it that much being active and exploring new places). However I still like to sit still and just read a book to relax or spend a quiet day at the beach.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I heard of couch surfing before I started my travel adventure after school. But to be honest I kinda forgot about it until people at a workaway place in Osaka, Japan talked about it. And now is the time where I think I should try it as well. I love being able to get to know the country I am traveling through the eyes of locals, building friendships and get to know the culture just a bit more while staying with them.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love reading books (especially historic novels), and watching movies (everything is great as long as I don't have to watch a horror movie). When it comes to music I am very open minded as well, but electro does not belong to my favourite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It is really hard to pick one thing. There would be a skydive or a spontaneous sailing trip. But if I really have to decide, I would take the night in which I sat in an old bathtub heated by fire underneath in the rainforest of New Zealand and watched the stars.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to improve my English skills and maybe even continue to learn Japanese. In turn I could teach you some German or just some German cooking / baking skills
What I Can Share with Hosts
I already have lots of stories to tell. But the most interesting thing for you would be my cooking as I would love cooking traditional German meals for you or even bake something (maybe both ;))
