About Me
Like all members on couchsurfing I'm open-minded, easy-going and friendly I guess.
But apart from that,
I like to meet new authentic people and share my opinion. I easily sense people who are acting in an unnatural way and tend to put them at ease so they can be fully themselves.
My mind's never at rest, I like to think and reflect a lot, but that doesn't prevent me from blurting out what randomly pop's up in my head.
I am a person who hardly knows the meaning of the verb "to complain", still I'm not an annoyingly good-humoured person.
A person who knows me quite well wrote this:
"Céline is a linguistic gifted and hyperfast thinking girl with a passion for language accents and dialects. She is a really good listener and has an overwhelmingly flow of thoughts that make really fast links. I must admit I use her as an external memory that always reminds me if I forgot something (which is really useful if you are scatterbrained like me!). She has a distinct opinion and loves to encounter new points of view from people all over the worlds.
She enjoys: eating leftover baked potatoes, writing little short stories, watching unique German movies and randomly dancing in a funny way when she is happy.
She prefers the radio instead of a smartphone, writing on paper instead of using Word and mucking out a stable instead of watching TV.
She has a fear of disturbing people or feeling unwanted which is totally unnecessary in my opinion with a lovely and bright person like her!"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that you can only truly discover a country through its people.
The best holiday experiences I had were shared with friends who lived abroad or during couchsurfing.
I also like to hear someone else's opinion about Belgium. Things that are plainly normal for me can be astonishing for others.
Interests
The outdoors and having long walks in nature.
Being disconnected of screens and phones.
Reading.
When a subject interests me I like to get to know as much about it as possible.
Music, Movies, and Books
Books:
Historical novels
All of Jane Austen's books
Irvine Welsh's crazy tales of alienated people
Music, depends on the season and my mood, it's quite broad
The list of films would be endless
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sitting by the sea, looking at the waves smashing against the rocks and cliffs of the Scottish shore.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation.
Unfortunately it would be kind of hard to cook belgian food in another country, apart from a chocolate cake maybe.
Countries I’ve Visited
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Montenegro, Poland, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Turkey
