Active after many years of... inactivity. Apologies to everyone I didn't respond to.

I live in a wee village outside of Glasgow, almost halfway between Glasgow and Edinburgh. It isn't Shotts, that's just the nearest bigger village.

My house isn't very convenient for public transport, in fact it's rubbish for it. But, I like to hangout with my guests and I'm happy drive or make the journey with the shite public transport together.

I have two young kids. They generally stay with me Wednesday to Saturday afternoon every week. I do not host when I have them. The days can sometimes change so feel free to send me a request anyway.

I have animals. One old dog and two young cats. My dog is absolutely harmless, but even if he wanted to harm he couldn't as he's 19 and physically unable.

Philosophy:

Keep it simple, enjoy yourself and don't be a prick.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm just getting back into it after over a decade, other than a short spell about five years ago.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had 99% positive experiences with couchsurfing. Saying that the 1% wasn't even that bad. It just went on waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long.

Whether hosting or hosted it's been great. I owe so much to people that hosted me in the USA year ago. I am forever grateful to you all.

I enjoy plenty of things.

Football (the one with the feet), drinking, walking, hiking, drawing, reading, playing with the dogs, spending time with friends, family.

Watching films, documentaries, tv shows.

I am very picky with my tv and films. My favourite films are most things by or with Simon Pegg and or Seth Rogan.

My favourite TV show is Spaced.

I love documentaries. Anything from Frozen Planet to a good conspiracy.

I'm a wannabe reader. I go long spells or not reading and then spells of reading. My collection (many of which are unread atm) goes from the Tibetan Book of the Dead to fantasy books like World of Warcraft, Zombie Apocalypse to Chariots of the Gods.

Music. Favourite band is MetallicA, I like all their albums except their last one and latest EP. Yes, I even like St Anger. Other metal bands like Pantera, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slipknot, System of a Down, Korn, Metal Church etc etc.

I like folk music from around the world. Also like my folk stepped up a gear when it becomes folk rock like Wolfstone, Runrig or Hangai.

Partial to a bit of trance, gabber, blues, classical. A bit of most things really.
