About Me

Hi! I’m Cem, a 20-year old architecture student in London. I am originally from Istanbul and have been here for two years now. I want to meet new people from different cultures and get new experiences, and maybe you could host me too if I travel to your city :)

I am really passionate about art, architecture and design and would love to show you around galleries and the city. We have a small flat near Angel with my roommate Riccardo, and there is a couch and an inflatable mattress in the living room you can stay in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It’s going to sound a bit generic but I love to meet new people from different cultures all around the world. I’m quite new to this and have hosted just a few people up till now but they’ve all been amazing friends that we still talk to this day

Music, Movies, and Books

Music (Oh, the most important one for me) I listen to Progressive Rock, Classical music, Turkish Psychedelic and quite recently a lot of Techno. I also enjoy anything experimental, not just regarding to music but art, architecture etc. I unfortunately do not play instruments but I’m a really passionate consumer :)

Movies: Enter the Void, Interstellar, Fight Club, Climax, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and other experimental stuff. You can search 99 Mind-F*ck Movies on google to see my bucket list of movies 😊

Books: Mostly philosophy books or books about Architecture. I have problems focusing while reading so I mostly spend time reading books to improve my knowledge instead of reading novels, though there are some novels on my list that I’d like to definitely read one day.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A ton of beer, of course! good convos, travels around the city and home-made food, although bear in mind I’m still practicing cooking. If you’re coming in a friday we have a terrace party in my school which you can feel free to join :)
