Hi there! I’m Cem, a passionate traveler living in Izmir. I’m originally a software engineer, but I’m not working in my field. Instead, I run an antique shop, a livestock company, and a real estate business. Working in these diverse areas allows me to explore different aspects of life. Traveling and discovering new cultures is a big part of who I am. So far, I’ve visited countries like France, Montenegro, Greece, Monaco, Hungary, Austria, Serbia, Italy, Netherlands, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Indonesia, Mexico, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, Spain, and Northern Cyprus. I love meeting locals during my travels, hearing their stories, and sharing my own. I’m social and open-minded, always eager to make new friends. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing a while ago, but I haven’t had the chance to use it actively yet. Now, I’m really excited to finally dive into it and meet new people while I travel the world. Music: I enjoy listening to a variety of genres, especially songs with energetic and rhythmic beats.
Movies: I like watching any kind of movie as long as it’s not boring, particularly action and thriller films catch my interest.
Books: I’m into personal development and stock market books. These genres provide me with both knowledge and inspiration.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Despite not having a fear of heights, I once jumped out of a plane with a parachute. The adrenaline rush and the breathtaking views made it one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. It taught me to embrace new challenges and enjoy the thrill of the unknown.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I can teach: I love sharing my travel experiences, insights into different cultures, and travel tips I’ve picked up along the way. I’m also happy to share my knowledge of Turkish culture and language.
What I want to learn: I’m always eager to learn new things. I’m particularly interested in discovering different cuisines and learning to cook local dishes. I’ve just started playing tennis and would love to improve my skills.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories and experiences from the countries I’ve visited with my hosts. I would also love to introduce them to Turkish cuisine and maybe even cook some traditional dishes.
