ABOUT ME

After almost 3 years in Finland, mastering the language, making lots of local friends and becoming almost famous, I'm in New York. I live alone in a big and cool (literally :) loft in Williamsburg. The location is super convenient for visiting NYC, and we have amazing views of Manhattan too. Come share the fun!

PHILOSOPHY

Whenever I imagine something very crazy, it ends up happening.

Going to Finland the first time to the countryside, going to Finland again to university, touring Europe, taking my Finnish friends to the oil wrestling matches in Turkey :), moving to New York... These were all jokes in the beginning but somehow I made them happen, which is kinda cool :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I did host a lot of people in Tampere, Finland and showed them around. I think I won't (need to) be as active in New York. As Tampere was quite an obscure place I felt the need to be a good guide, but I think New York speaks for itself :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done more hosting than surfing because of my travel arrangements. I hope I can surf more! :)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

In finland, going to the sauna then jumping into a hole made in the frozen lake. It's called Avanto.

Working in Eurovision song contest as a translator and being in the backstage and seeing everything happen from there for two weeks.

Teasing the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland during his visit to Turkey with a question in Finnish and then appearing in Finland's biggest newspaper's third page with a huge picture :)
