About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance, the wise man grows it under his feet."-J. Oppenheimer

ABOUT ME

I'm just a girl in the world, and yes, that is a quote from No Doubt so I guess I am not all that original but who really is these days? Hasn't everything been done? Well, I think that is somewhat true but that it is still up to us to decide what it means for us. Why should we only believe what others tell us to? The first step to knowledge is learning a fact but the first step to understanding is experience. I'm just trying to absorb as much as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

People are about as happy as they allow themselves to be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just beginning!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to couch surfing and had wanted to sign up for a few years and just never did. One day, my friends, who have hosted numerous times, were visiting a Buddhist temple in the mountains of South Korea. They met a monk there who was planning a trip around Asia with no money and they told him about CS. He was thrilled, signed up right away and offered his temple as a place for other couch surfers to stay. As soon as I realized I could be part of something that appealing to a monk (and so many of my friends) I signed right up. It is a good cause that supports travelling for people with all sorts of backgrounds.

Interests

Photography, trekking, kayaking, swimming, diving, snorkeling, coffee, eating, cooking, reading, music and making friends. Intelligent conversation but never arguments. Spreading positive energy and staying healthy.
