Seeking out surfers in need and replying to the requests I get.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted a bunch of people alrdy and we always had a great time.
when I travel I avoid hotels, not because im poor, but because I want to be rich. Rich in experience, by "living" with the locals you get to experience a culture. Feelings you will never get from travelling with an agency from spot to spot always in a hurry.

Books: Tutorials are the only books I actually read.
TV/Film: Dexter, Heroes, Flash Forward, Star Trek, Criminal Minds, NCIS, Game of Thrones, Sliders, Breaking Bad, True Blood and actually anything besides sitcoms, reality tv and drama.

Invite people into your home and give them a space of their own. If you do not have this space then be very clear about it on forehand. You don't want to be in the same room with everybody you meet all the time. No matter how social you are or think to be.

Couchsurfing has brought me many good experiences and I have made some very good friends who even return to Holland so that they can surf and hang out again.

Keep an open mind and if you find something strange start asking questions and find out why people are the way they are. Perhaps you can adjust your views to have a more comfortable time together.
